In September, easyJet operated 32,432 flights. Compared to August, the U.K.-based budget carrier reduced its flight volume by more than 10%. However, easyJet remains Europe's third-biggest airline by flight volume — right after Ryanair and Turkish Airlines.
In September, easyJet achieved a solid punctuality level of 88.7%. However, compared to the previous month, easyJet's on-time performance dipped by 2.5pp. Nevertheless, when looking at easyJet's annual average in 2021, September seemed to be pretty much in line.
Once again, easyJet achieved fantastic schedule reliability. During the entire month, easyJet had to cancel only 14 flights. As a result, easyJet achieved schedule reliability of 99.7%. However, compared to August, easyJet's reliability slightly dipped by 0.3pp.
Flight Volume — 6 Months History
For the first time in 2021, easyJet reduced its flight volume in September. However, this is likely due to the end of the summer/holiday season. Moreover, easyJet's volume is still above the July volume. Therefore, it will be interesting to see how easyJet will perform in October.
