Aegean Airlines is Greece’s biggest airline and operates out of its hub in Athens. Aegean is part of the StarAlliance and operates under the IATA Code A3.

From 1st to 17th August, Aegean Airlines has operated 2,330 flights. In total, the airline had to cancel three flights and operated on an 81.9% punctuality level.



Airline Performance Assessment
In August, so far, Aegean Airlines has operated below its annual OTP average. However, in terms of cancellations, the airline is doing much better compared to the annual average. We currently forecast a volume of 4,200 flights in August, resulting in an 8% growth compared to July.



Air France
Air France is France’s flag carrier and the country’s biggest airline. The SkyTeam member operates out of its hub in Paris (CDG).

From 1st to 17th August, Air France has operated 22,406 flights. In total, the airline had to cancel 46 flights and operated on a 90.6% punctuality level.



Airline Performance Assessment
In August, so far, Air France has operated way above the annual OTP average. Moreover, the French flag carrier reduced its cancellations massively compared to previous months. We currently forecast a volume of 22,000 flights in August, resulting in a 10% decline compared to July!



British Airways
British Airways is the flag carrier of the United Kingdom. The OneWorld member operates out of its hub in London Heathrow (LHR)

From 1st to 17th August, British Airways has operated 10,609 flights. In total, the airline had to cancel 38 flights and operated on a 94.5% punctuality level.



Airline Performance Assessment
In August, so far, British Airways has operated above the annual OTP average. Moreover, the British flag carrier reduced its cancellations massively compared to previous months. We currently forecast a volume of 11,000 flights in August, resulting in a 36% growth rate compared to July.



easyJet
easyJet is a U.K.-based low-cost airline. The carrier is one of Europe’s biggest low-cost carriers and operates out of several bases across Europe.

From 1st to 17th August, easyJet has operated 35,686 flights. In total, the airline had to cancel eleven flights and operated on a 90.1% punctuality level.



Airline Performance Assessment
In August, so far, easyJet has operated slightly above the annual OTP average. Moreover, the low-cost carrier has further reduced its fantastic cancellation rate down to 0.1%. We currently forecast a volume of 36,000 flights in August, resulting in a 30% growth rate compared to July.



Iberia
Iberia is Spain’s flag carrier and one of the country’s biggest airlines. The airline is a member of the OneWorld alliance and operates out of its hub in Madrid.

From 1st to 17th August, Iberia has operated 14,366 flights. In total, the airline had to cancel 32 flights and operated on a 96.6% punctuality level.

In August, Iberia has operated above the annual OTP average and achieved a strong punctuality level of 96.7%. Moreover, the carrier has been able to further reduce its solid cancellation rate down to 0.4%. We currently forecast a volume of 14,500 flights in August, resulting in a 7% growth rate compared to July.

KLM
KLM is the flag carrier of the Netherlands and part of the Air France/KLM airline group. The SkyTeam member operates out of its hub in Amsterdam.

From 1st to 17th August, KLM has operated 9,639 flights. In total, the airline had to cancel 72 flights and operated on a 93.8% punctuality level.

In August, KLM has operated above the annual OTP average and achieved a strong punctuality level of 93.8%. Moreover, the carrier has been able to reduce its cancellation rate down to 0.7%. We currently forecast a volume of 18,000 flights in August, resulting in an almost 50% growth rate compared to July.



LOT Polish Airlines
LOT is the flag carrier of Poland and one of the country’s biggest airlines. The carrier operates out of its hub in Warsaw.

From 1st to 17th August, LOT has operated 3,663 flights. In total, the airline had to cancel six flights and operated on a 92.6% punctuality level.

In August, LOT has operated above the annual OTP average and achieved a strong punctuality level of 92.6%. Moreover, the carrier has been able to reduce its cancellation rate down to 0.1%. Currently, we forecast a volume of 6,500 flights in August — that would result in growth stagnation.



Ryanair
Ryanair is an Irish low-cost airline. The carrier is Europe’s biggest low-cost airline and one of the world’s biggest airlines at the same time. Ryanair operates out of dozens of bases across Europe.

From 1st to 17th August, LOT has operated 38,642 flights. In total, the airline had to cancel 14 flights and operated on a 91.9% punctuality level.

In August, Ryanair has operated above the annual OTP average and achieved a strong punctuality level of 91.9%. Moreover, the carrier has been able to reduce its cancellation rate down to almost zero! Currently, we forecast a volume of 71,000 flights in August — that would result (again) in a massive growth compared to the previous month.



Vueling
Vueling is a Spanis low-cost airline and one of the country’s biggest airlines. The carrier is part of IAG.

From 1st to 17th August, Vueling has operated 9,994 flights. In total, the airline had to cancel 18 flights and operated on a 94.3% punctuality level.



Airline Performance Assessment
In August, Vueling has operated above the annual OTP average and achieved a strong punctuality level of 94.2%. Although Vueling is slightly below its annual cancellation rate, the airline is operating at an excellent level! We currently forecast a volume of 18,000 flights in August, resulting in a 20% growth rate compared to the previous month.



SAS Scandinavian Airlines
SAS is a Scandinavian airline group and the flag carrier of Norway, Sweden, and Denmark.

From 1st to 17th August, SAS has operated 6,803 flights. In total, the airline had to cancel 139 flights and operated on a 91.9% punctuality level.



Airline Performance Assessment
In August, SAS has operated above the annual OTP average and achieved a strong punctuality level of 91.9%. However, the airline’s cancellation rate exceeded the annual average by almost 200% due to many cancellations! We currently forecast a volume of 12,500 flights in August, resulting in a moderate growth rate of 8% compared to the previous month.
